Country Queen

Carrie Underwood is officially two years into her run at Resorts World Theatre and the rhinestone cowgirl shows no signs of dimming down her Reflection residency. Not by coincidence, she will be one of the top drawing country acts on The Strip (Nov. 29 to Dec. 16) as the National Finals Rodeo bucks its way into town.

This show is not a pack and play. It was created for this theater, which is the only place in the world to watch Underwood “Cry Pretty,” with dazzling special effects, pyrotechnics, dancers, aerialists, and a virtual orchestra that accompanies the artist during her 90-minute showcase.

“We want the best of the best and stuff that people know, can have fun with, and sing along to. There’s no other agenda except to put on the best show we possibly can,” Underwood says. In her last run, she added the new song “Denim & Rhinestones” from her latest album to the 20-track set list — a highlight reel of her 15-year career, with her biggest hits “Before He Cheats,” “Blown Away,” “Cry Pretty,” and the finale, “Something in the Water.”

Underwood’s winter return comes on the heels of her latest extension announcement, including 18 new shows in 2024. If the live show isn’t enough to curb your country craving, check out her recently launched SiriusXM channel, Carrie’s Country, curated by the queen herself and highlighting her court of friends, favorites, and influences. axs.com
