Historically, Cinco de Mayo celebrates Mexico’s victory over France in 1862. Metaphorically, Cinco de Mayo in Las Vegas heralds your victory over taco eating in 2024. To satiate a never-ending need for delicious tacos, explore these Latin-inspired dining destinations on and around The Strip.

Luxury Tacos

Casa Playa is for those who prefer ultimate control over their taco making. While Casa Playa doesn’t technically have tacos on the menu, the large-format for-the-table dishes such as Whole Snapper Tempura, Casa Playa Surf & Turf with Wagyu carne asada, lobster, shrimp, and short rib and Roasted Carnitas, all come with handmade tortillas for personally enveloping every tasty bite. Who needs a fork and knife with warm blue corn tortillas on the table?

Vegan & Vegetarian Tacos

El Dorado Cantina, located just behind the West side of The Strip on Sammy Davis Jr. Drive, serves organic, non-GMO Mexican food. Everyone loves tacos with purpose so Cinco de Mayo is the perfect day to indulge in their three-taco platter with cauliflower or roasted corn and poblano which can be made vegan or vegetarian. After all, you don’t have to be a meat eater to enjoy tacos.

L.A.-Style Tacos

Southern California is a tough taco act to follow. With Studio City import Roadside Taco at Fontainebleau, an authentic taste of L.A. has landed on The Strip. The menu features favorites such as the Chicken Birria Taco, Street Corn with chipotle aioli, cotija cheese, tajin and cilantro, and the Baja Fish Taco with Mahi Mahi marinated in Adobo, chipotle slaw, avocado salsa, and flour tortillas. They may not be simple, but they are so L.A.
